Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
His faithful love endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the LORD proclaim
that He has redeemed them from the hand of the foe
and has gathered them from the lands —
from the east and the west,
from the north and the south.
Some wandered in the desolate wilderness,
finding no way to a city where they could live.
They were hungry and thirsty;
their spirits failed within them.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble;
He rescued them from their distress.
He led them by the right path
to go to a city where they could live.
Let them give thanks to the LORD
for His faithful love
and His wonderful works for all humanity.
For He has satisfied the thirsty
and filled the hungry with good things. Psalms 107:1-9
This psalm is prophetic.
Its content can be interpreted from various perspectives. In this meditation, we will see two aspects.
The first aspect is historical and refers to the people of Israel. The Scriptures teach us that Israel was gathered into the promised land. Being unfaithful to God was besieged, attacked, carried away into captivity, scattered among the nations, and rescued. We are witnessing a miracle in our days: The creation of the modern State of Israel and the return of the Jews to their land.
The second aspect is personal and includes all human beings, Jews and Gentiles.
When we rebel against God, we end up lost in the desert of life, hungry, and lacking resources.
And when we acknowledge our rebellions against God, we confess them, and we turn to him; because of his love and mercy, we are forgiven and welcomed back to Him.
His love cleanses us and puts us on a path much higher than we were.
I invite you to taste the love of Deus. Repent and let Him
reorder your ways.
You will find peace and happiness like never before.
